How ReadTheSet handles your data: the drawings and the grading run in your browser and nothing you draw or answer is sent anywhere.
What stays on your device
The sheets are rendered in the page and the grading runs in the page. There is no server side to this site: it is a set of static files. Nothing you click, measure or answer is transmitted anywhere.
Progress is written to your browser's own local storage, under keys beginning with readtheset. and nowhere else. That means it belongs to one browser on one device: it does not follow you to a phone, it is not backed up anywhere, and nobody else can read it. Local storage is readable and removable from your own browser settings, and clearing site data for this site removes it permanently and immediately.
Because there is no account, there is also nothing to delete on our side and no way for us to restore anything you clear. That trade is deliberate. A drawing reading trainer does not need to know who you are, and a product that does not collect anything cannot leak anything.
No accounts
There is no sign up, no sign in, no email capture and no password to lose. Every page on this site, including the sheets, the lessons, the guides and the reference layer, is reachable without identifying yourself in any way.
What is collected
No account, no sign in, no advertising identifiers, and no analytics of what you answer. Standard web server logs kept by the static host may record the request for a page, its time, and a network address, in the ordinary way that any web server records a request.
Page counts
This site counts page visits through Cloudflare. The count sets no cookie, it cannot follow you from here to another site, and nothing you enter in the tool is part of it. It records that a page was opened, not which sheet you read or how you answered.
Cookies
ReadTheSet sets no cookies of its own, and it carries no advertising or cross site tracking scripts. The Cloudflare page count described above is cookieless.
The typeface
The type is Schibsted Grotesk, drawn by Bakken and Baeck for Schibsted Media, used under the SIL Open Font License 1.1 (the licence). It is served from this site, so reading a page asks no font service for anything.
Children
The site is a technical study aid and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is collected, the change will appear on this page. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
